16 June 2014 - The Magi 4 Afrika Challenge
Today, we are pleased to announce the launch of our new Charity Pubs dot Com challenge.
For now, please bear with us.  Our website is, to an extent, work in progress as we build towards the launch of The Magi 4 Africa Challenge that commences on 1 July 2014.  Please keep calling back as we continue to add more information over the next few days.
Pubs are the heart of the community in our great society.  Therefore, as we look to grow a community led challenge we have begun by enlisting the support of ten truly classic Birmingham hostelries.  We now look forward to a wonderful day where we can enjoy the culture, traditions and flavour of some of Birmingham's finest.
It is a shocking indictment of today's society that one in eight of our brothers and sisters have no clean safe drinking water.  Worldwide, one billion people do not have access to safe water; 370 million of these live in sub-Saharan Africa (that's exactly half the population of Europe).  Contaminated water kills more children than HIV Aids, Malaria and Measles combined.  In Africa, a thirsty little boy or girl dies every minute of every hour, every day.
As Swahili for "Water for Africa", The Magi 4 Afrika Challenge takes us on a marathon, 26 mile walk around some of Bimingham's most iconic pubs as we raise £25,000 to fund a water well for a disadvantaged rural community in Kenya.
We invite you to support The Magi 4 Africa Challenge and help contribute to the challenge; please join us and help us on our way by completing the Contact Us accessed from the drop-down menu.
